Sheets Views, Home Revamp, and Smarter Visuals
Sheets gets three new views (board, calendar, and gallery) plus a formula bar with autocomplete. Home is redesigned with a new layout, quick capture bar, and polished UI. Kairo visuals got a big update.
New
- New Board view for sheets with drag and drop cards between columns, preview fields on each card, and the ability to hide empty columns into a popover
- New Calendar view for sheets. Any sheet with a date field can be viewed as a month grid with day selection and quick row creation
- New Gallery view for sheets. A card grid with cover images, titles, and preview fields for a visual overview of your data
- Sheets now have view controls for filtering, sorting, toggling field visibility, and configuring layout options per view type
- Formula bar autocomplete with function and field reference suggestions as you type, navigable with arrow keys and Tab
- Click a cell while editing a formula to insert its reference automatically. Drag-select works too
- Import sheet rows directly into a taskboard or as calendar events with new import dialogs
- Home has a new layout with a redesigned quick capture bar that supports creating both tasks and calendar events with natural language
- Kairo visuals got a big update with expandable inline views, richer components, and a built-in kit for more interactive outputs
Improved
- Home page redesigned with a CSS grid layout, dynamic gradient briefing hero, and staggered entrance animations throughout
- File preview dialog redesigned with a full-viewport overlay, animated transitions, and a cleaner toolbar
- Model selector now has a smooth spring crossfade animation when switching between models
- Sheet toolbar actions (export, import, delete) consolidated into a single dropdown menu
- Kairo skips duplicate background resumes, preventing redundant streaming when multiple resume signals arrive at the same time
Fixed
- Fixed the calendar month view being hardcoded to Monday as the first day of the week. It now respects your configured week start day
- Fixed calendar event creation sending an empty recurrence rule instead of null for non-recurring events
